The Fort Point Trail extends down to the Georges River to a historic site of a fort from the Napoleonic wars. Now universally accessible with a 3 foot wide tread and frequent passing areas. Picnic tables and great views make it an excellent place to eat lunch. This trail is championed by the St. George Conservation Commission, with assistance from the St. George Historical Society, and Georges River Land Trust.

The Fort Point Trail shares a parking lot with the newly added Robinson Trail, completed in 2024.
